Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist, Facilities Engineer at the Stennis Space Center to verify, inventory, service and repair GSE and MH equipment for rocket engines and components.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree with hands-on GSE experience, ability to obtain a security clearance, and will collaborate with design engineers while using CMMS and modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Requires Ground Support Equipment (GSE) experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain security clearance.
• Liaise with GSE design team for maintainability.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical recommendations for GSE improvements.
• Use modeling tool software to assess and optimize GSE performance.
• Collaborate with design engineers to incorporate feedback into equipment specifications.
• Author Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) work instructions.
• Use CMMS to track tasks, inventory, PM, CM and data.
• Coordinate shipment of outgoing material to end users.
• Oversee maintenance operations of GSE and lifting devices.
• Travel less than 10%.
• Obtain NASA PRP clearance if required.
