We are a well-backed, early-stage capital solutions platform serving venture capital firms hiring a Senior Growth Equity Investor to help build our late-stage investment underwriting function. The platform provides debt and equity financing across the venture GP capital stack, supported by a proprietary data and analytics platform.
This is a founding-stage opportunity to work directly with an experienced founder and senior advisor with extensive growth and venture investing experience. The role will help establish underwriting standards, shape the firm’s risk framework, and cover some of the most prominent late-stage private technology companies.
What you’ll do:
- Cover a focused portfolio of leading late-stage and pre-IPO technology companies and develop a clear house view on investment attractiveness.
- Build and manage relationships with venture capital GPs, a core sourcing channel; originate new GP relationships and bring them onto the platform.
- Lead due diligence and equity underwriting, including revenue trajectory, competitive positioning, cap tables, round terms, IPO readiness, and exit pathways.
- Build investment models, including MOIC, IRR, sensitivity, downside, and stress-case analyses.
- Write investment memoranda and present recommendations to leadership and the Risk Committee.
- Work closely with the founder and senior leadership in a fast-moving startup environment, contributing to the firm’s analytics platform, investment process, and risk framework.
What we’re looking for:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in growth equity, late-stage venture investing, or TMT / pre-IPO technology investment banking.
- Direct experience underwriting live late-stage or pre-IPO technology transactions, including $1B+ rounds, IPOs, or crossover financings.
- Background from a top-tier growth equity or late-stage venture fund, software-focused growth PE firm, or a leading technology/TMT investment banking group.
- Strong financial modeling skills, particularly equity valuation, cap table analysis, MOIC/IRR, and downside analysis.
- Familiarity with venture deal structuring, GP-level economics, fees, and carried interest is strongly preferred.
- Interest or experience in AI, deep tech, defense tech, or other capital-intensive technology categories is a plus.
- Comfort operating independently in an early-stage environment, with the initiative to own deals and processes end to end.
Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. green-card holder, authorized to work remotely in the United States without sponsorship.
What we offer:
- Lucrative cash compensation package
- Carried interest participation.
- Meaningful equity / ESOP participation.
- Fully remote role within the United States, with minimal travel.
- A high-conviction, founding-stage seat with direct exposure to senior leadership and investment decision-making.
- Potential future presence in San Francisco or New York.
Ideal background:
Candidates may come from leading growth equity and late-stage venture firms, large multi-stage investment platforms, or technology/TMT groups at bulge-bracket and elite boutique investment banks. This role is not a fit for candidates whose experience is primarily early-stage venture, buyout/private equity, or generalist corporate development.
