A premier hotel group in San Antonio is seeking a Sales Manager to enhance guest satisfaction while meeting revenue goals. The role involves managing accounts, conducting site inspections, and making persuasive sales presentations to potential clients. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and significant sales experience, ideally in resort settings.
JOB OVERVIEW: Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Marketing
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of a hotel structure and how all departments interact. Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, to solicit business, meet client needs, and resolve complaints. Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year College or university; or three to five years of resort sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 5+ years’ experience selling to corporate and association meeting planners.
