Job summary

VH Hospitality in Chicago is seeking a sales professional to solicit group business and help the hotel meet or exceed revenue goals in rooms and food & beverage. You will lead outreach to new and existing accounts, coordinate with departments, and participate in trade shows and industry events to maintain market visibility.

Responsibilities include site inspections, written communications, and maintaining relationships with community contacts.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Most tasks are performed independently or in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of hotels and competitive markets.
  • Ensure that guest satisfaction is consistently obtained and maintained.

JOB SUMMARY

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:

  • Professionally represent the hotel in community and industry organizations and events.
  • Participate as team player with all departments.
  • Assist with reports and/or competition data collection.

In accordance with Illinois law, the anticipated pay range for this position is:

$90,000 – $95,000 per year

The final offer will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market conditions.

Additional Compensation

This role maybe eligible for additional compensation, including:

AVAILABILITY

This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed work day, to include Holidays, or time of work if business or task assignments demand. In addition, it should be understood that business needs determines the amount of hours that you work.
