About the Role :
CHANEL is on the hunt for a visionary leader to join our US Tech Organization as the Senior Group Director of Portfolio Management and Performance. This is your chance to drive cutting-edge Technology Strategy, align priorities with the US CIO Office, Divisional Partners, and the Global CIO Office Community, and lead the charge in Strategic Planning, Portfolio Management, and Product guidance.
In this dynamic role, you will lead a team of 1-2 direct reports, collaborate with the Tech Leadership Team, and leaders across Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty (F&B), Watches & Fine Jewelry (W&FJ), and Corporate Teams. This Senior Group Director will oversee Portfolio Governance, ensuring seamless alignment with Finance and Procurement partners to optimize resources and performance metrics. Plus, you'll work closely with the Chanel US Transformation Office and Global and Regional CIO offices to secure our 2030 strategic vision, uncover cost savings, and elevate data quality. Minimum of 12 years' experience with 8+ years in IT portfolio management or governance, and 2+ years in people management.

Technology Strategy and Alignment : Drive and communicate the technology strategy, aligning priorities with the US CIO Office, Divisional Partners, and Global CIO Office Community.
Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management : Oversee strategic planning, portfolio management, and product guidance. Assess portfolio performance metrics, delivery metrics, and value-added KPIs.
Data and Metrics Production : Produce data and metrics to enable decision-making concerning business priorities, timing, spend, and people allocation on projects and services, leveraging internal systems such as Monday.com, Zenith, and ServiceNow.
Governance & Compliance: Ability to define and enforce standards, processes, and policies for portfolio management.
Collaboration and Governance : Collaborate with Tech Leadership Team, Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty (F&B), Watches & Fine Jewelry (W&FJ), and Corporate Teams. Manage portfolio governance and ensure alignment with Finance and Procurement partners.
Resource Optimization and Cost Savings : Work with the Chanel US Transformation Office and Global and Regional CIO offices to secure the 2030 strategic vision, find cost savings, and improve data quality.
AI Development and Modern Ways of Working : Foster AI development and promote new and modern ways of working, such as services-oriented and agile product management.
Technology Portfolio Progress and Risk Management : Inform and recommend actions regarding technology portfolio progress, risks, and updates at monthly business governance meetings.

What you will bring to the team :
Project and Portfolio Management Skills: Exceptional project and portfolio management skills, including prioritization, efficient workflow management, and capacity forecasting.
Proficiency in Tools: Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel, with a demonstrated ability to create executive-level summaries, visualize data, and analyze historical trends (PowerBI proficiency preferred).
Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal narrative communication abilities, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills, flexing your style to each audience.
Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: A structured approach to resolving portfolio challenges and optimizing decision-making.
Innovative Mindset: Willingness to challenge the status quo and introduce new methodologies or technologies to improve portfolio performance.
Proven Experience: Experience in a comparable leadership role, with a focus on exceptional service and organizational excellence.
Familiarity with Metrics: Strong familiarity with Product & Project Management KPIs and organizational metrics such as OKRs.

Position Logistics:
Full-time in New York Office (Midtown), hybrid schedule: 3 days office, 2 days WFH. Travel to New Jersey Office monthly
Experience: Minimum of 12 years' experience with 8+ years in IT portfolio management or governance, and 2+ years in people management
Education: Bachelors in IT, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or MBA is a plus).
10% local travel, with potential global travel
