Job summary

The State of Nevada seeks a Senior Hydrogeologist Modeler to deliver expert hydrologic analysis and groundwater models guiding water resource decisions. The role leads technical evaluations of water rights and reviews aquifer storage projects across Nevada's basins.

Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, groundwater modeling experience, and the ability to communicate complex science to staff, stakeholders, and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hydrogeology, hydrology, geologic or civil engineering with seven years of hydrogeology experience.
• Graduate degree in a related field with five years of hydrogeology experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with groundwater modeling proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hydrologic analyses for water right applications.
• Develop and evaluate groundwater models.
• Review aquifer storage and recovery reports and monitoring plans.
• Coordinate field investigations and support conjunctive management analyses.
