Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist in the Seattle area to manage groundwater investigations, aquifer testing, and hydrogeologic analysis. Lead field studies, supervise staff, and contribute to proposals while mentoring junior team members.

You will prepare technical reports, conduct data collection, and present insights to clients and regulatory agencies. Strong communication, budgeting, and scheduling skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience leading hydrogeologic field investigations and client communications.
• Strong report writing and data presentation skills.
• Licensed as a LHG or PG/LG is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads project management tasks: budgets, scopes, client billings, field report reviews, contracts, proposals.
• Acts as technical resource for clients and staff; guides complex challenges.
• Develops field reports, figures, tables with minimal edits.
• Mentors junior staff and supports technical skills development.
• Leads business development: identifying new clients and attending conferences.
• Coordinates field exploration programs and construction projects per plans and safety guidelines.
• Develops complex conceptual models, including numerical and hydraulic modeling.
• Conducts groundwater supply investigations, modeling, statistics, and hydrogeologic analyses.
• Presents findings to clients, owners, and regulators.
