Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in groundskeeping/horticulture or related role.
• Non-commercial driver’s license required.
• Previous supervisory or lead grounds crew experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of groundskeeping principles and power landscape equipment.
• Exposure to unusual elements and extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization as well as external vendors and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the maintenance and improvements to facility grounds and may also be assigned operational tasks such as mowing, weeding and snow removal as needed.
• Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to groundskeeping teams and supervises the completion of tasks according to established sustainability guidelines.
• Responsible for the training of groundskeeping workers and lead workers.
• Maintains client expectations as it relates to compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal statutes as well as contract requirements.
• Inspects and tours acreage to identify areas for maintenance improvement or landscape upgrades.
• May be responsible for order placement and inventory management.
• May perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools as needed.
• May be required to operate trucks, tractors and attachments used to maintain grounds as needed.
