Job summary

Plano ISD is seeking a Grounds Worker to supervise Grounds Maintenance staff and provide technical assistance for projects at the Facility Services Center.

The role requires experience in landscape maintenance, operation of power equipment, and coordination of labor, materials, and equipment. Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Valid Texas driver's license.
• Driving record that is insurable with Plano ISD's insurance carrier.
• Four years of experience in grounds/landscape maintenance.
• Five years of irrigation maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and maintain a work order system showing labor and materials history.
• Analyze each job assignment and request materials and labor as needed.
• Inspect grounds and facilities and initiate needed repairs.
• Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment for grounds operations.
• Drive Plano ISD vehicle to inspect work sites and transport materials.
• Install and maintain landscaping on campuses; supervise related duties.
• Operate and maintain equipment used for grounds operations.
