Job summary

Cimarron Inc. seeks a Ground Systems Software Engineer to support a program in Seal Beach, CA. You will collaborate across teams to define software requirements and design inputs for vehicle management systems, and develop, test, and integrate software components in a real-time environment.

You will plan and conduct V&V activities, configure test environments, and execute automated and manual tests. Strong C/C++, UNIX/Linux, RTOS, and DevOps skills are required, with a TS/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years with C, C++, Python and/or shell scripts.
• 5+ years in UNIX/Linux environments.
• 5+ years with RTOS.
• 3+ years testing flight-critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Git Bash, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

• Define, review, and refine vehicle management software requirements and system design inputs.
• Develop and integrate vehicle management software and external functions.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities with test strategies and plans.
• Configure and manage test environments replicating production conditions.
• Perform manual and automated testing; build and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Investigate and resolve software defects; provide results to improve design.
• Maintain engineering/test documentation in line with privacy/security standards.
• Contribute to process/tech improvements using current tools and methods.
• Coordinate test/verification across multifunctional teams and manage test execution.
