Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group is seeking an experienced Ground Network Systems Engineer to design, implement, test, and maintain terrestrial components supporting satellite and space-based systems. You will advise on network architecture, security, and data center infrastructure for ground C2 activities and interfaces with various program offices.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 5+ years in IT/network engineering or ground systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and 5+ years in ground networks or IT/Network engineering.
• Experience with network protocols, routers, switches and security devices from major vendors.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to travel domestically and overseas as required.

Responsibilities

• Formulate concepts of operations, define requirements, and perform system analysis and design for ground networks.
• Architect, integrate, test, and maintain ground C2 software, hardware, ADPE, and networking elements.
• Assess network performance, security risks, and optimization opportunities; support lifecycle cost estimation.
• Provide technical guidance on data center layout, power, cooling, storage, and automation.”
• Review system specs, interfaces, and verification plans; participate in design reviews.
