Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking an Engineering professional in Madison to help plan and integrate new generation resources into the grid, including wind, solar, battery storage, and natural gas. You’ll support planning across generation, transmission, and distribution with stakeholders and peers to drive reliable growth and energy transition.

The role offers exposure to regulatory standards, advanced power flow analyses, and collaboration with internal teams and industry partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; EAC accreditation required.
• Experience with power flow studies and modeling.
• Knowledge of interconnection processes and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and identify unsafe conditions; propose solutions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead meetings and discussions with stakeholders to support system studies.
• Develop understanding of interconnection agreements and perform power flow studies.
• Support modifications to agreements including cost sharing and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in budgeting and multi-year planning processes.
