Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Graduate degree preferred.
• Engineer I requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Engineer II requires 1 to 2 years of progressive power‑system engineering experience.
• Engineer III requires 3 years of power‑system engineering experience.
• Senior Engineer requires 5 years of power‑system engineering experience in the electric utility industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform power‑flow simulations to evaluate Constraint Management Plans and Remedial Action Schemes.
• Conduct regional power‑transfer analysis to identify potential cascading risks.
• Develop and maintain the ERCOT Black Start Plan.
• Evaluate performance of generator and transmission equipment against reliability requirements.
• Propose reliability improvements including rule or requirement changes.
