Job summary

ABB Inc. is seeking a seasoned IS Security leader to establish governance and risk practices for US and North America operations. You will design, implement, and improve security controls, governance frameworks, and assurance processes across global teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strong communication at senior levels, with a hybrid work model in Cary, NC. A CISSP/CISM/CRISC or similar certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT/CS/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years in information security with leadership in governance and risk.
• Experience with security governance and risk from design to maintenance.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and CMMC frameworks.
• Experience running compliance-as-a-service and stakeholder enablement.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain governance, compliance, assurance and risk methods.
• Lead design and delivery of security controls across regions and assets.
• Maintain security and compliance dashboards and attestations.
• Guide security project design and ensure secure-by-design practices.
• Coordinate multi-country compliance and audits with stakeholders.
• Develop risk-focused metrics and align with ABB policies.
