Job summary

Reddit is hiring a GRC Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain integrations and data pipelines that support security and compliance programs. You’ll own projects from discovery through launch, automating evidence collection and building scalable controls across cloud, identity, HR, finance, and more.

You will work with control owners and engineers to surface issues early, reduce manual work, and improve visibility into risk.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in security, compliance, automation, data integration, or related technical field.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or similar language and SQL; able to write, test, review, and maintain code.
• Experience building API-based integrations using REST, webhooks, or polling with proper auth flows.
• Experience designing scheduled data workflows with orchestrators like Airflow.
• Cloud platform fluency; identity, storage, logging, monitoring, and secrets management.
• Version control, CI/CD, testing, observability, and secure credential handling.
• Knowledge of security/compliance controls and frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX ITGC, NIST CSF, EU DSA/NIS 2).
• Ability to own complex projects end-to-end with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Own software projects from discovery to launch with stakeholders.
• Automate evidence collection across systems for SOX and compliance.
• Build and maintain integrations and workflows across cloud, identity, HR, finance, ticketing, and GRC tools.
• Use APIs, scripts, data modeling, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Design data models linking risks, controls, assets, owners, and evidence.
• Create automated checks for data quality and policy compliance.
• Translate control requirements into data specs and tests; close gaps with owners.
• Collaborate across Security, Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, Privacy, Legal, Finance.
