Job summary

Fantasy Flight Games, a studio within Asmodee Group, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer, Board Games, to craft engaging visual elements for our award-winning titles and licenses. You will mentor the design team and shape game components, packaging, and logos.

Bring 5+ years of graphic design experience, proficiency in Adobe CC, and a passion for hobby games. This role supports collaborative, hybrid work in a creative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field; 5+ years experience.
  • Proficiency inAdobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Strong understanding of print and production processes.
  • Experience in the hobby game market is a plus.
  • Experience with Blender or Modo is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and cross-platform work.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop thematic game graphics and text for board and card components.
  • Create graphics that translate game mechanisms into playable visuals.
  • Design packaging and logos to attract consumers.
  • Coach designers and participate in peer review; apply feedback.
  • Submit work for approvals and refine as needed per leads.
  • Maintain templates, organize workflows, and improve processes.
  • Research new design techniques and software; share knowledge with the team.
  • Collaborate with diverse project team members across disciplines.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attend or lead meetings to align with project goals.
  • Perform other graphic design tasks as assigned.

Job Summary

The Senior Graphic Designer, Board Games is responsible for the design of fun, engaging, and thematic graphics of board and card games which align with the vision and goals set by the studio. Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer helps guide the graphic design team through mentorship, research and development, and creative process development.

What will your role involve
  • Design and develop thematic game elements, graphics, iconography, and text to create layouts of game components for board and card game products.
  • Create intuitive and clear graphic elements to represent game mechanisms and translate ideas into a working, playable product.
  • Design packaging and game logos to engage and attract consumers to the products.
  • Coach other designers on their work and participate in a peer review process. Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
  • Submit work for approval and incorporate feedback from creative leads to achieve the desired result.
  • Maintain a library of component templates, follow a set of standard organizational practices, and improve upon current processes.
  • Research, develop, and problem solve new design techniques, useful software, and innovative game components. Disseminate this knowledge to the team through training and demonstration.
  • Collaborate with other project team members of diverse disciplines.
  • Diligently pursue completion of work to meet project deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously if needed.
  • Attend and/or lead regular meetings to discuss current projects and maintain excellent, frequent communication with team and other departments.
  • All other graphic design tasks as assigned by management.

Education/Experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of the methodologies and procedures of print and production processes.
  • Experience in the hobby game market a plus.
  • Experience with Blender, Modo, or equivalent 3D software a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Mac or Windows OS.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, market conditions and specific work location. Base Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000.
