Job description

At Bishop-McCann (BMC), we create experiences that move people. As a global event and experience agency, we partner with clients to design and deliver meaningful moments that connect, inspire, and drive impact.

Behind every experience is a team that values collaboration, innovation, and accountability. We believe our people are at the center of everything we do, and we are committed to building an environment where individuals can grow, contribute, and make a meaningful difference.

Our Core Values:

Curiosity: We go beyond conventional boundaries to deliver creative solutions and are always asking, listening, and learning.

Collaboration: We believe teamwork drives greater results than that of an individual.

Impact: We aspire to defy expectations and deliver the highest standards in the industry.

Inclusion: We create an environment where every voice is valued, every perspective is welcomed, and everyone has a seat and a say at the table.

Who We Are:

At Bishop-McCann (BMC), we create experiences that move people. As a global event and experience agency, we partner with clients to design meaningful moments that connect, inspire, and drive impact.

Behind every experience is a collaborative team that values curiosity, accountability, and delivering exceptional results. We believe our people are at the center of everything we do.

Who You Are:

You are a hands-on designer with exceptional craft, strong conceptual thinking, and the confidence to own the work while making the people and ideas around you better. You can start with a strategy or creative brief, find the visual idea inside it, and build event identities and design systems with enough depth to live across stage, screen, environment, presentation, invitation, app, wayfinding, evening events, and activations.

You understand the why behind the work and consider the full attendee journey, not just the asset list. Creative Directors trust you with important work, producers know you will consider how something gets made, and account teams know you can hear the client behind the feedback and work within budgets. You present ideas with clarity and confidence, and you stay curious about AI, motion, technology, and emerging creative tools.

The Role at a Glance:
  • Title: Senior Graphic Designer
  • Reports to: Creative Director
  • Partners with: Creative Director, ACD, Graphic Designers, Copywriters, Producers, Program Managers, Account Teams, New Business, Motion Designers, and Video Editors
  • Location: Remote (U.S.), travel required for site visits, planning visits, and onsite events
  • Salary Range: $80,000–$95,000
Key Responsibilities:

Concept & Visual Direction

  • Develop original creative concepts, visual identities (logos, color, type, imagery, and graphics), and experience journeys for events, incentives, and new business opportunities.
  • Create mood boards, concept decks, and visual storytelling that help clients understand and believe in an idea.
  • Bring inspiration from culture, design, fashion, entertainment, hospitality, architecture, technology, and beyond the event industry.

Experience & Creative Ownership

  • Own design workstreams from concept through final production with a high degree of independence.
  • Translate creative concepts across the attendee journey, from pre-event communications to onsite environments, stages, screens, signage, wayfinding, digital experiences, and other touchpoints.
  • Design across multiple experiential elements: digital, print, and environmental.
  • Create signage and branding plans for hotels, and work with print, digital, scenic, and fabrication vendors.
  • Partner with motion designers, editors, and Production to ensure the graphic, spatial, and moving worlds feel like one idea.
  • Art direct and guide Graphic Designers and freelance talent working within an established creative direction.
  • Understand the realities of physical production (scale, materials, fabrication, sightlines, screen formats, and technical requirements) and design with them in mind.
  • Manage priorities across multiple programs and deadlines without sacrificing the quality of the work.

Presentation & Partnership

  • Build compelling client presentations and pitch decks that sell the idea.
  • Present creative thinking and design work directly to clients alongside Creative Directors and cross-functional partners.
  • Hear the problem behind feedback and translate it into thoughtful solutions.
  • Partner with Creative, Production, Planning, Account, and New Business from discovery and brief through execution.
  • Help uphold BMC design standards and push the quality of the work forward.
  • Give clear, constructive feedback and mentor developing designers through the work.
  • Explore AI and emerging technologies as creative collaborators for research, concept development, visualization, image generation, iteration, and storytelling.
  • Help identify new tools, techniques, and capabilities that can make BMC's work smarter, more distinctive, or more impactful.
