Position Summary/Objective

The objective of the Senior Graphic Designer is to provide artistic support to the Project Coordinators, Team Supervisors, Sales Team, and other FASTSIGNS National staff by creating professional art renderings for their clients while also maintaining workflow, overseeing deadlines, and measuring production output.

This is a full-time hourly position requiring individuals to work a minimum of forty (40) hours each week. The Senior Graphic Designer position reports directly to the Graphic Designer Manager.

Essential Functions

Design, produce and layout original artwork proofs using illustrations, infographics, technical drawings, and any other needed graphical content.

Work with the management team and project coordinators on large or rush projects to ensure the daily art schedule is maintained.

Provide guidance, feedback, and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Collaborate with the sales team to create optimal signage solutions for new and existing clients, and contribute to the development of standard signage artwork.

Assist graphic designer manager to maintain progress reports for daily artwork submitted and completed.

Build, maintain and update customer online catalogs.

Participate in special department projects as needed, as assigned by management or executive team members.

Assist Graphic Designer Manager to track and maintain the workflow and efficiency of the Art Department.

As a senior member of the team, you will be a primary source of artistic direction and support for Graphic Artists within the National Accounts division.

You will be instrumental in training and mentoring the team, ensuring the high expectations of our creative standards are met.

In the manager's absence, you will be responsible for making crucial decisions to maintain smooth operations and project timelines.

Maintain a working knowledge of FASTSIGNS core products.

Stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in sign design.

Competencies

Expert proficiency in digital vector image creation applications (CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator,etc.)

Functional knowledge of office productivity software packages (Google Suite, Microsoft Office,etc.)

Fundamental understanding of sign construction and installation methodology including materials, structural, and electrical

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts to both clients and internal teams

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

A collaborative spirit and a passion for mentoring and developing junior talent

Consistently deliver high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional remote environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers,smartphones, video conferencing, webinars, phones, photocopiers, printers, filing cabinets, shredding and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to walk, talk, see and hear. And lift up to 20 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, non-exempt position of at least 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Travel is primarily during business days, out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected based on individual job responsibilities. Some of the travel may occur on weekends or be international. Company events may include Summits and the Annual Conventions may also include travel. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.

Education and Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design for the sign industry is required.

Strong understanding of large-format printing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.

Foundational knowledge of electrical and non-electrical sign installation methods is preferred.
