Job summary

Yakshna Solutions, Inc. seeks a seasoned Grants Management Contractor/Implementation Specialist to support the Department of Rail and Public Transportation in Virginia.

The role emphasizes leadership in grants management, process optimization, and implementation of an enterprise platform. Based in Richmond, VA, you will collaborate with government teams to design, deploy, and optimize grant workflows with strong compliance and reporting focus.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience leading process improvement, change management, and project management initiatives.
• 10+ years of experience managing the full grants management lifecycle including grant administration, compliance, budgeting, and reporting.
• 10+ years of experience implementing or supporting enterprise grants management software and applying industry best practices.
• 10+ years of experience in grant accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting with ability to analyze complex grant requirements and ensure compliance.
• 5+ years of experience working with public sector organizations and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a government environment.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to new systems and technologies and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise to support the DRPT pilot Grant Management platform.
• Work with SMEs to assess current processes and map them into the software platform.
• Develop and implement processes within grants management software.
• Advise on best practices for grant applications, review, contracts, and reporting.
• Monitor expenditures, inactivity, and close-out/de-programming processes.
• Collaborate with DRPT staff and vendors to improve workflows.
• Create training materials and policy/procedure updates.
• Provide weekly status updates and communicate risks.
