Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island seeks a Grant professional to manage all phases of grant development and reporting for federal, state and local organizations. Working with a four-person grant team and reporting to the Senior Grant Writer, you will craft high-impact proposals to support FSRI’s 30+ programs across Health, Healing, Hope and Home.

You will collaborate with executive leadership and partners, coordinate funder reports and site visits, and ensure all proposals meet deadlines and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, human services preferred, and/or related experience.
• A minimum of 2-3 years grant writing experience preferred.
• Experience with the development of federal and RI state proposals preferred, including uploading materials.

Responsibilities

• Researches and identifies diverse federal, state, local government and private foundation funding and summarizes findings for leadership.
• Coordinates and drafts requests for donations and support materials.
• Develops high-impact proposals aligned with funder requirements and agency standards.
• Ensures grammar, accuracy, and punctuation in all writing assignments.
• Maintains grant and reporting files as per policy.
