Job summary

The Senior Proposal Manager at University of Oklahoma’s Office of the Vice President for Research and Partnerships leads the preparation of academic grant proposals, ensuring responsiveness to sponsor requirements and alignment with OU's research strengths.

The role collaborates with researchers and administrators to craft competitive content, manage timelines, coordinate reviews, and support pre-RFP activities; APMP certification is helpful, bachelor's degree and 6 years of related experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
6 years of related experience.
APMP certification is helpful but not required.
Experience drafting competitive academic grant proposals.

Responsibilities

Support the submission of academic research proposals (grants) and ensure compliance with sponsor requirements.
Develop content to create exceptionally competitive proposals, aligning with sponsor needs beyond the RFP/NOFO.
Lead team formation, coordinate project teams, and manage deliverable timelines and reviews (pink, red, green, etc.).
Manage project kickoff and set meeting cadences for the project team.
