Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a Grant Program Manager to own post-award compliance, reporting, and agency relationships. You will be the primary liaison with DOE, ARPA-E, and other agencies, ensuring awards stay in good standing and requirements are met on time.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams to collect deliverables, manage budgets and timing, and support audits and site visits as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of federal grant administration or post-award management.
• Experience managing awards from DOE, ARPA-E, NSF, NIH, NDA, or similar agencies.
• Ability to coordinate deliverables with technical, finance, and legal teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication with federal program officers.
• Familiarity with federal reporting portals (Grants.gov, SAM.gov, PAMS).

Responsibilities

• Research and identify state and federal grant opportunities to support the business.
• Lead internal teams to prepare timely, competitive grant submissions.
• Serve as primary liaison with grant agencies for contracting, negotiations, and post-award actions.
• Own the compliance calendar and ensure on-time reporting and milestones.
• Coordinate deliverables across R&D, engineering, finance, and legal teams.
• Manage grant drawdowns, time tracking, invoicing, and budget variance monitoring.
• Prepare progress and financial reports to issuing agencies.
• Maintain centralized records for all active awards and communications.
