NVIDIA seeks an exceptional hands-on engineer to optimize physics and robotics workloads on NVIDIA platforms. You will push algorithms, data layouts, and GPU kernels toward the real limits of demanding applications.

You will write production-grade C++, CUDA, and Python across simulation platforms and partner applications, with collaboration across teams and communities to ensure lasting impact.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Science, or related field.
  • Publicly inspectable stewardship of an open-source engine, library, standard, benchmark, or software framework.
  • Record of delivering large, reproducible performance improvements in production numerical, simulation, graphics, CAE, robotics, or scientific-computing systems.
  • Expert modern C++ and GPU parallel-programming ability with strong foundations in mathematics, physics, or performance modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Help partners establish and execute performance strategies for physics, robotics simulation, and computational-engineering workloads on NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Build rigorous benchmarks and performance models, profile customer applications from system architecture through GPU kernels.
  • Collaborate with partner developers to improve algorithms, data structures, memory layouts, and parallel execution; address NVIDIA bottlenecks with owning teams.
  • Apply knowledge of reinforcement learning, robotic kinematics simulation, and validation to client challenges.
  • Write production C++, CUDA, Python, and domain-specific GPU code into simulation platforms and reference implementations.
  • Work across developers, NVIDIA teams, and open communities to sustain improvements beyond a single engagement.
