Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, seeks a Principal Software Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA to lead architecture and verification of Khronos-based graphics APIs and GPU driver stacks for VxWorks RTOS in aerospace applications.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure safety-critical performance, DO-178 certification readiness, and deterministic real-time graphics, shaders, and display capabilities; on-site work with competitive benefits.

Formación

• Typically requires STEM degree with 8+ years experience, or advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience with GPU drivers on real-time OS.
• Experience with OpenGL SC/Vulkan SC on VxWorks.
• DO-178 certification experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead graphics API design for OpenGL SC and Vulkan SC on VxWorks.
• Develop and optimize GPU drivers and rendering pipelines.
• Guide DO-178 certification activities.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams on graphics and display.
