Job summary

Zoox's Robotaxi Planner Compute team in Boston seeks a Senior Software Engineer to optimize the motion planner's GPU compute across architectures, reducing latency and memory usage. You will analyze performance, identify hotspots, and tune CUDA kernels for multiple GPUs.

You will collaborate with cross-functional engineers, leverage Nsight and CUDA tools, and contribute to large C++ codebases in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong CUDA knowledge for Ampere/Blackwell and Nsight-based debugging/profiling.
• Proficiency in C++ and large code bases; Linux development experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze performance metrics to identify GPU hotspots and optimizations.
• Adapt planner to multiple GPU architectures with different resources.
• Optimize ML models for latency and GPU memory usage.
• Support engineers as SME on CUDA and GPU performance.
