Job summary

Frazier & Deeter is seeking a Government Contract Accounting Senior Manager to lead complex GovCon engagements within the CAAS practice. The role focuses on compliance, advisory services, and strategic guidance for federal contracting clients.

You will drive client relationships, oversee accounting engagements, and help navigate evolving government regulations while mentoring a team of managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA license preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with government contractor clients.
• Experience with government contract accounting software (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, PROCAS).
• Experience leading client relationships and managing multiple engagements.
• Experience mentoring and developing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple government contractor engagements, advising on accounting, compliance, and financial matters.
• Guide FAR, DCAA, cost accounting standards, indirect rate structures, cost allowability and allocability.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and cost submissions.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and identify expansion opportunities.
• Advise on DCAA audit readiness, process improvements, and best practices.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, forward pricing and proposal pricing support.
• Participate in business development, networking, and proposals within GovCon community.
• Stay updated on government contracting regulations and trends.
• Lead and mentor teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, timelines, and profitability.
