Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Herndon, VA seeks an experienced Billing Specialist III to lead complex government billing for high-visibility A&D programs. You will ensure cost data accuracy, support audits, and maintain compliance with FAR/DFARS while using Deltek Costpoint to manage project billing and revenue recognition.

The role requires 3–5 years of government contracting billing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work under monthly deadlines in a fast-paced, audit-driven

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years of billing experience in Aerospace & Defense or Government Contracting.
• Experience with SF 1034/1035, SF 1443, DD250 documentation and WAWF/PIEE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex billing preparation and submission for Cost, Time & Materials, and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
• Validate costs for allowability and compliance with FAR/DFARS.
• Prepare audit-ready invoice packages for customers and government audits.
• Maintain billing matrices, project setup checklists, and schedules.
• Support accounts receivable and cash flow through reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Contracts, Program Management, Pricing, and Program Support to ensure accurate billing setup.
