Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of Government/Municipal accounting experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA or actively pursuing a license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.
• Complete month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform complex bank and investment reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with government reporting requirements (ACFR, etc.).
• Assist with annual external audit preparation and supporting schedules.
• Monitor budgets and analyze revenues and expenditures.
• Assist with grant reporting, capital asset accounting, and other accounting functions.
• Provide financial support and guidance to departments and team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
