Job summary

The City of Madera seeks an Accountant II to perform the full range of professional accounting duties, develop and analyze fiscal statements, and ensure GAAP and GASB compliance. This is the full journey level class, handling complex government accounting tasks and reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field, at least two years of full-time professional accounting experience with the City of Madera, and a valid California Class C

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or related field.
• At least two years of full-time professional accounting work experience equivalent to Accountant I with the City of Madera.
• A valid Class C California driver's license or equivalent issued by a government agency

Responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and analyze fiscal statements and records.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and GASB.
• Perform other related duties as required.
