Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer for an onsite role in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office). The candidate will lead secure GCP architectures, IAM governance, and Terraform automation, and integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines.

The position requires deep GCP security expertise and experience with Chronicle, Python, and security operations. Certifications such as Google PSC, CISSP, CCSP are preferred.

Akkodis is currently seeking an experienced and driven Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Charlotte, NC - Hybrid schedule required - 3 days a week in the office. The ideal candidate will have deep GCP security expertise. Lead cloud security architecture, secure landing zones, IAM, governance, Terraform automation, DevSecOps integration, and Google Security Operations (Chronicle).

Position: Senior Google Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid schedule required - 3 days a week in office

Salary Range: $65- $75/Hour (Salary may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of secure GCP cloud architectures and landing zones.
• Implement IAM, security governance, and compliance controls across GCP environments.
• Automate infrastructure and security using Terraform (IaC).
• Integrate security into DevSecOps/CI-CD pipelines with automated security controls.
• Configure and manage Google Security Operations (Chronicle) for threat detection and incident response.
• Perform cloud security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to implement cloud security best practices.
• Develop security standards, documentation, and mentor teams on GCP security.
