Job summary

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Senior Lead Gondola Operator at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, CA. This role oversees daily gondola operations, ensures safety, and leads by example across both gondola terminals to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will coach staff, maintain ANSI B77 compliance, supervise loading/unloading, and support lead operators in a fast-paced resort environment with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Lift Operations experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of Lead Lift Operator experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and develop employees in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.
• Strong observational and situational awareness skills with the ability to remain highly attentive to passenger loading and unloading activities and respond quickly to changing operational conditions.
• Ability to communicate with guests confidently and assertively to ensure their safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the Gondola and ensure proper setup each morning.
• Lead by example and coach Lead Operators and Operators for safe and efficient service.
• Ensure ANSI B77 compliance at all times.
• Coordinate staff around departmental goals and provide ongoing coaching.
• Maintain safe loading/unloading areas and keep debris clear.
• Assist with setup of mazes and signage for guest flow.
• Provide operational support to ensure efficient daily lift operations.
• Engage with guests to help load equipment and manage loading logistics.
• Support safety and guest experience during peak times.
