Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Homewood-based venue seeks a Gondola Operations Supervisor to direct the Gondola and Lift & Gondola Operations team at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on Lake Tahoe’s West Shore. You will oversee daily Gondola operations, monitor top/bottom terminals, and ensure proper opening and staffing, while delivering a safe, high-quality guest experience.

You will recruit seasonal staff, coordinate preseason training, ensure ANSI B77 compliance, and mentor operators.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Lift or Gondola Operations experience
• 1+ year supervisor or similar experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver employee training
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and risk management
• Ability to lead in the absence of management

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of seasonal staff
• Coordinate preseason training and audit-ready documentation
• Ensure operations are ANSI B77 compliant
• Align staff with departmental goals and provide coaching
• Oversee on-the-job training and safety procedures
• Organize daily setup of mazes and signage for guest flow
• Provide leadership to Lead Operators and ensure daily execution
• Collaborate with resort departments to support shared objectives
• Act as department leader during Manager absence and handle discipline
• Foster long-term staff retention and inclusive environment
• Snow removal as required
• Other duties as assigned
