Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club seeks an up-and-coming Golf Course Superintendent who leads hands-on, data-driven maintenance to ensure premier playing conditions. You will oversee agronomy, irrigation, and a team, aligning with regulations and club standards.

The role emphasizes financial stewardship, capital projects, sustainability, and close collaboration with Golf Operations to deliver exceptional courses for members and events.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, or related field preferred.
• California Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) or Qualified Applicator License (QAL), or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
• 3-5 years of progressive golf course maintenance experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation, fertilization, and course maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn department technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Agronomy in planning, organizing, and directing all golf course maintenance operations to meet conditioning, playability, and safety standards.
• Oversee the golf course maintenance team including scheduling, training, performance management and compliance with regulations and club policies.
• Manage agronomic practices, monitor turfgrass health, and proactively address issues.
• Collaborate with Golf Operations to support daily play, tournaments, events, and course setup.
• Assist with long-term initiatives including capital improvements, agronomic projects, course improvements, and sustainability efforts.
• Maintain detailed records of agronomic programs, equipment, and maintenance activities.
