Job summary

Encanterra Country Club, part of Shea Properties in Queen Creek, AZ, seeks an Operator 3 for its Golf Course Maintenance Team. You will operate riding equipment, assist in fertilizer applications, and support training for less experienced teammates, reporting to the Superintendent and Crew Foreman.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, ability to lead by example, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred and relevant golf maintenance knowledge.
• Minimum two years’ golf course maintenance experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate riding machines (triplex units, rough/fairway machines) and perform bunker raking and mowing tasks.
• Apply fertilizer and manage spreading operations with attention to safety.
• Train and mentor Operator 1 and 2 staff; lead by example on the maintenance team.
• Communicate daily with supervisors about tasks, issues, and improvement ideas.
• Maintain and refuel equipment, perform daily checks, and report issues.
