Job summary

Zoolatech is hiring for a backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Golang services that power a global e-commerce platform. You will work within a distributed engineering team, building cloud-native microservices and event-driven systems using Kafka, AWS, and modern tooling.

You will own services end-to-end, from development through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, while collaborating with product managers, designers, and data teams to deliver reliable,

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable backend services in Golang.
• Strong background in microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ/AWS SNS/SQS).
• Proficient with Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with relational databases and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Golang.
• Build and evolve cloud-native microservices and distributed systems.
• Design and implement event-driven solutions using messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
• Take ownership of services throughout their lifecycle including development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business goals.
• Write clean, well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Contribute to improving system reliability, scalability, performance, and observability.
• Continuously learn and adopt new technologies and engineering practices.
