Cast AI Group is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, build, and operate Go services underpinning auth, billing, and real-time pricing. You will own features end-to-end, debug complex issues, and collaborate with product and other teams to solve non-standard challenges.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with clean abstractions.
• Production Go experience preferred; others with strong systems programming.
• Experience with trust-critical systems (auth, billing, data).
• Good API design knowledge: versioning, backward compatibility, auth, idempotency.
• Strong debugging, optimization, and performance tuning skills.
• Experience operating high-load systems and bottleneck identification.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience: pods, services, deployments.
• Experience with AI coding agents and agentic workflows.
• End-to-end project delivery experience.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend Go services that others depend on being correct.
• Own features end-to-end from design through production rollout.
• Debug complex production issues in security-, money-, or trust-critical flows.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to solve non-textbook problems.
• Contribute to product direction and backlog, shaping what gets built next.
