Job summary

Public-Facing Job Description Senior Go API Engineer at N/A is seeking an experienced engineer to own reliability and observability across our API surface, including multiple Go services and Cloud Functions.

You'll manage deployments, monitoring, on-call rotation, and cross-service debugging under production pressure, applying strong Go fundamentals and deep HTTP knowledge to improve performance and resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating production API/backend services at scale.
• Deep HTTP fluency: semantics, status codes, caching headers.
• MySQL indexing, transactions, and schema design.
• Experience with CDN/cache semantics and invalidation strategies.
• Production monitoring, logs/metrics/traces across services.
• Strong Go fundamentals: goroutines, channels, context, panic/recover.
• Docker and containerized services in production.
• Cloud platform depth, preferably GCP: Cloud Run/Functions, Cloud SQL.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions experience.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate Go API services and Cloud Functions in production: deployments and on-call rotations.
• Audit and close gaps in monitoring and alerting across owned services.
• Correlate logs, metrics, and traces to debug cross-service failures.
• Refine on-call runbooks and incident postmortems.
• Engage with Claude Auto Reviewer findings on PRs and reviews.
