Job summary

Accord Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to design, develop, and validate GPS/GNSS-based navigation solutions for airborne systems in Melbourne, FL. The role requires 8–10 years of experience and US citizenship/work authorization.

You will work on sensor fusion, INS/AHRS, FMS integration, and performance-based navigation, while supporting FAA/EASA certification efforts and performance analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electrical/Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in avionics navigation systems engineering.
• Hands-on experience with GPS/GNSS-based navigation systems.
• Strong understanding of GPS/GNSS (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou), INS, IMU/AHRS, sensor fusion, Kalman filtering.
• Experience with DOORS for requirements management.
• Experience with system modeling and simulation tools.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and validate GPS/GNSS-based navigation solutions for airborne systems.
• Develop navigation algorithms utilizing GPS, GNSS, INS, AHRS, IMU, air data, radio navigation sensors, and sensor-fusion techniques.
• Perform system requirements development, decomposition, traceability, and verification.
• Support architecture development for integrated avionics and navigation systems.
• Analyse navigation performance, integrity, continuity, availability, and accuracy requirements.
• Evaluate navigation system behaviour in RF environments, including jamming/spoofing.
• Develop system-level test plans, procedures, and verification reports.
• Execute laboratory, simulation, HIL, and flight-test activities.
• Support integration with FMS, MMR, terrain awareness, and autopilot systems.
• Conduct failure modes analysis, safety assessments, and fault-tree analysis.
• Review customer and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with software/hardware/systems/verification/certification/flight-test teams.
• Support FAA, EASA, and military certification activities.
• Participate in technical design reviews and customer presentations.
