Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a Senior GNC Software Engineer in Grand Prairie, TX. USC only; active secret clearance required or able to obtain.

The role focuses on guidance, navigation and control software for autonomous systems, interfacing with sensors and real hardware. Responsibilities include developing GNC algorithms, processing data from IMUs, GPS/GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, radar and magnetometers, and taking algorithms from simulation through hardware integration and flight testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Controls
• 5+ years of relevant experience in GNC, controls, robotics, autonomous systems, or software engineering
• Strong programming experience in C++, Python, or similar languages
• Experience developing GNC, controls, navigation, estimation, or autonomy software
• Experience working with real-world sensor data and sensor interfaces
• Understanding of state estimation, sensor fusion, coordinate frames, and dynamic systems
• Experience working with embedded or real-time systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate guidance, navigation, and control software for autonomous systems.
• Interface with and process data from sensors including IMUs, GPS/GNSS, cameras, LiDAR, radar, magnetometers, and other vehicle sensors.
• Develop algorithms for state estimation, sensor fusion, navigation, guidance, and control.
• Analyze sensor and vehicle data to improve system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and test GNC software in simulation and on real hardware.
• Support SIL/HIL, ground, and flight testing and analyze test results.
• Work closely with embedded, systems, electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to integrate software with vehicle hardware.
• Take algorithms from development and simulation through hardware integration and field/flight testing.
