Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer, Navigation Technical Specialist in Sunnyvale, CA, to design navigational systems, develop algorithms, and integrate software for CPS, TSWS and SMD programs.

The role requires a strong background in dynamics, control theory, and programming with Matlab/Simulink, plus the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Collaboration across teams and rigorous analysis will be essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. or M.S. in Aerospace or Software Engineering
• Strong fundamentals in dynamics, control, and programming
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink for analysis and design
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship)

Responsibilities

• Develop and review navigational data packages, analyses, and presentations
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to validate navigational sensors and algorithms
• Evaluate system performance across simulations, hardware tests, and full-system tests
• Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with leadership and customers
