Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Senior Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer to join the Flight Systems Engineering Capability in Berkeley, MO. This role will support new product design, development, integration and flight test supporting the areas of flight control and subsystem control for the T-7A Red Hawk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field; US-equivalent acceptable
• 14+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 12+ years related experience (preferred)
• Experience with system and component modeling
• Experience implementing algorithms in real time systems
• Experience programming in C/C#
• Advanced Control Systems coursework
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink or MatrixX

Responsabilités

• Gather, define and document GNC requirements and ensure traceability
• Develop a nonlinear 6-DoF simulation model from multidisciplinary data
• Support design of flight control laws and tools to meet targets
• Use advanced analysis to refine control law design
• Validate models against test data to improve simulation accuracy
• Develop controllers, limiters and mode logic for flight envelope
• Work with multi-discipline engineers to integrate control laws
• Support flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop testing and flight testing
• Lead design reviews, analyses and testing to meet customer requirements
• Author and maintain engineering documentation
• Mentor less experienced engineers and resolve cross-divisional issues
• Assure cost, time efficient, creative solutions and issue disposition
• Perform complex trades studies to meet program needs
