Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Chandler, AZ, seeks a Senior Principal Engineer in Aerodynamics to lead advanced launch vehicle aerodynamic designs from concept through testing.

You will develop 6DOF aerodynamic models, design wind tunnel tests, and present findings to management and customers. Strong CFD experience and cross-functional leadership are essential. On-site work with a US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Must have 6DOF aerodynamic model development experience.
• Experience with Python and Linux.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced launch vehicle aerodynamic design from concept through testing.
• Develop and validate 6DOF aerodynamic models for simulations.
• Design and support wind tunnel testing programs and present results to leadership.
• Coordinate with program teams and provide technical leadership.
