Job summary

Draper is seeking a Senior Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer to develop software for space and defense systems used by US Government and commercial customers. The role focuses on GN&C algorithms, software deployment, and integrated system design for complex environments including ground, air, and space.

Responsibilities include evaluating requirements, designing state-of-the-art algorithms, embedded software development, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required.
• 5-10 years of software engineering or related experience is required.
• Experience with GN&C, rendezvous and proximity operations for space vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates requirements and proposes solutions for design tradeoffs.
• Designs algorithms using modern theory and proven techniques.
• Develops embedded software based on prototype algorithms.
• Analyzes designs to demonstrate performance and functionality.
• Develops and executes software tests to verify requirements.
• Communicates with customers and stakeholders to establish requirements.
