Job summary

KLA is seeking a Senior Import Specialist in the Global Trade Compliance group to ensure compliant, scalable US import/export operations. You'll handle tariff classifications, compliance controls, analytics, and cross-functional initiatives with partners across Legal, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Ideal candidates bring deep knowledge of US customs rules, audit experience, and a track record in process improvement and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree and relevant experience in import/export/compliance.
• Experience handling US import regulations, tariff classification, and origin.
• Proven ability to design controls, dashboards and analytics.
• Experience with audits, CBP requests, and regulatory inquiries.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support HS/HTS classifications and ECCN determinations for tech equipment.
• Review broker filings, customs docs, values and origin declarations.
• Lead responses to CF-28/29 audits and inquiries.
• Design and improve import/export processes and governance.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for trade compliance monitoring.
• Lead projects, system enhancements and automation initiatives.
• Coordinate with logistics, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing.
