Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company, a global leader in medical technology, is hiring a Supply Chain Planner in San Diego. The role focuses on inventory optimization, master scheduling, and data-driven improvements across the distribution network.

You will collaborate with distribution centers, analyze KPI data, reduce scrap, and develop reports and dashboards. Experience with SAP, Power BI, and CPIM is a plus, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Supply Chain, Math, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain or operations planning.
• High analytical skills with demonstrated ability to deliver accurate results, on time.
• Master Scheduling experience required.
• Experience working with Biologics/Reagents a plus.
• SAP (preferred), Microsoft Office, Power BI, Database tools

Responsibilities

• Work with DCs to order and reserve inventory for key customers.
• Provide data for KPIs and metrics (root causes of order issues, excess & expired inventory, schedule compliance, % of repeated orders, projected inventory at risk/stock loss).
• Maximize the use of material to minimize excess inventory and scrap by monitoring volume purchases, expiration dating, and forecast changes.
• Performs master scheduling and cross-functional collaboration for creating a master schedule of planned orders.
• Responsible for managing and analyzing data to improve the supply chain process.
• Create reports to support process improvement, analytics and performance related to supply chain/operations.
• Leads and/or participates in key projects as SME and drives continuous improvements.
• Create, deploy, and leverage statistical techniques to ensure stocking strategies.
• Execution of strategies to reduce inventory and improve cash flow.
• Inventory Management: process development, integration, and execution of stocking and inventory processes.
• Build and operate a global management and reporting program for relevant projects.
• Leverage techniques to set/reset inventory targets for finished goods worldwide.
• Communicate inventory position, budget, and re-forecast to senior management via dashboards and tools.
• Formulate and recommend policies to improve cash flow and profitability while driving growth.
