Job summary

Balanced Body in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee procurement, develop strategies, and lead a small purchasing team in a fast-paced environment. You will negotiate with suppliers, drive cost and lead-time improvements, and coordinate across internal departments to meet production goals.

The role requires a strong leadership background, extensive supply chain expertise, and a focus on delivering 100% on-time delivery while maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• APICS/CSCP/CPSM certifications preferred.
• 10+ years of supply chain experience; 5+ years managerial experience in manufacturing.
• Develop visual standard work for major processes and ensure compliance.
• Develop, implement and support processes that reduce transactions in material flows.
• Monitor supplier scrap and in-house rejects of purchased parts.
• Coordinate technical communications with suppliers and obtain corrective actions.
• Build a highly skilled, customer-focused team.
• Knowledge of international markets and related logistics preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills, ERP/MRP, MS Dynamics Business Central a plus.
• Experience with BOMs and Where-Used reports.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Detail oriented, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Spearheading the execution of supply chain strategies that support cost reduction and on-time delivery.
• Lead alternate material replenishment methods (consignment, kanban, vendor managed) to increase turns.
• Oversee site tactical procurement, receiving, stockroom and shipping data integrity.
• Address issues affecting on-time delivery and product quality from suppliers.
• Develop and lead buyer-planners and material handlers.
• Coordinate meetings and publish minutes for status updates to management.
• Support new product introduction procurement.
