Job summary

KLA Milpitas, CA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead standards for power distribution and critical infrastructure across global facilities. You will review designs, guide UPS and generator strategies, and collaborate with teams to improve reliability and efficiency.

The role emphasizes cross-regional coordination, adherence to codes, and supporting renewable energy integrations in a high-tech semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum eight (8) years of experience in electrical engineering with direct responsibility for power distribution and critical power systems in complex facilities environments.
• Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, backup power infrastructure, and electrical design review.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve global electrical engineering standards, specifications, and design guidelines across a diverse facilities portfolio.
• Review electrical designs for capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and critical facility improvements to support consistency, quality, and compliance.
• Guide technical strategy for power distribution, UPS, generators, transfer systems, and other critical power infrastructure.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve resiliency, operational readiness, and long-term facility performance.
• Support renewable energy and electrification initiatives, including solar, battery storage, EV charging, and utility coordination where relevant.
• Translate technical requirements into clear standards, design guidance, and executive-ready summaries.
