Job summary

Synopsys, Inc. is seeking an experienced cybersecurity professional to join its global CSIRT. You will lead investigations of high-severity incidents, coordinate with third-party providers, and analyze data across endpoints, networks, and cloud services to determine impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Incident Response or Security Operations.
• Experience investigating high-severity incidents.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR across multiple data sources.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST CSF.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to explain complex issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or .NET).
• Experience collaborating with third-party cybersecurity or forensic providers.

Responsibilities

• Investigate high-severity cybersecurity incidents from detection through containment across global teams.
• Coordinate with third-party cybersecurity/forensic providers during major investigations.
• Correlate data from multiple log sources and security technologies to determine impact.
• Improve alert quality by working with Detection Engineering and Threat Intelligence.
• Develop and tune detections; contribute to playbooks and incident response docs.
• Deploy and support new security tools across endpoints, cloud, and email environments.
• Translate technical findings into actionable guidance for diverse audiences.
• Contribute to security projects between incidents with automation and new capabilities.
