Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; IIA-AIC designation and pursuing another professional insurance designation.
• Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, plus MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Investigates complex losses locally unassisted up to designated authority; assists on larger losses.
• Examines claim forms to determine insurance coverage.
• Interviews, telephones, or corresponds with claimants and witnesses.
• Inspects property damage and estimates cost of repair or compensation.
• Prepares reports and negotiates settlements with claimants.
• Recommends litigation when settlements cannot be negotiated and attends hearings.
• Revises case reserves and assists with loss experience reporting.
