Shop LC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Buyer for Natural Crystals & Mineral Specimens to lead global sourcing and curate exclusive collections for Mindful Souls and Shop LC shows.

The role requires hands-on buying expertise, international supplier networks, and strong negotiation skills to optimize costs, margins, and assortment quality for a growing crystal category across our omnichannel platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on buying and sourcing experience in natural crystals and mineral specimens.
• Knowledge of mineral varieties, grading, authenticity, and international pricing.
• Established sourcing relationships across India, Africa, South America, and Asia.
• Experience attending Tucson Gem & Mineral Show and building supplier relationships.
• Strong negotiation skills to evaluate costs, margins, and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Global Sourcing: identify and source natural crystals and mineral specimens from key markets.
• Product Curation: build distinctive collections featuring rare, high-quality specimens.
• Buying & Merchandising: evaluate quality, demand, pricing, margins, and commercial potential.
• Supplier Relationships: manage international suppliers, miners, exporters, and dealers.
• Market Intelligence: track mineral trends, sourcing opportunities, prices, and categories.
• Product Portfolio Development: grow Shop LC’s natural crystal and mineral assortment including Mindful Souls.
• International Trade Shows: represent Shop LC at industry events such as Tucson Gem & Mineral Show.
• Commercial Performance: improve product selection, costs, margins, and category performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with merchandising, product development, and show teams.
